PPGI is pre-painted galvanized iron, also known as pre-painted steel, coil-coated steel, color-coated steel, etc., usually based on hot-dip galvanized steel.
GI is an abbreviation for galvanized iron. gi usually refers to continuous hot dip galvanized steel that is essentially pure zinc (>99%), rather than a batch dipping process. ppgi refers to factory pre-painted galvanized steel, where the steel is painted before it is formed, rather than post-painted after forming.
The hot dip metal coating process is also used to manufacture steel sheets and coils with aluminum coatings, or alloy coatings with zinc/aluminum, zinc/iron, and zinc/aluminum/magnesium, which can also be pre-coated at the factory. While GI may sometimes be used as a generic term for various hot-dipped metal-coated steels, it more accurately refers only to zinc-coated steels. Similarly, PPGI may sometimes be used as a generic term for a range of pre-coated metal coated steels, but more often refers more accurately to pre-coated zinc coated steels.

Color Coated Steel Coil is a product made of strip steel that is continuously subjected to surface degreasing and phosphating and other chemical transfer treatments on the production line, and then coated with organic paint and baked. It not only has the mechanical strength and easy forming performance of steel plate, but also has good decoration and corrosion resistance of organic materials.
