Carbon steel coils are made from slabs (mainly continuous cast slabs), which are heated and then made into strips by roughing and finishing rolling mills. The hot rolled steel strip produced by the last finishing mill unit is cooled to a set temperature by laminar flow and then rolled into coils with a winder. The cooling coils are processed into steel sheets, flat coils and slit strip products by different finishing lines according to different customer requirements.
