This stainless steel is a low carbon, high nickel, molybdenum stainless steel. It has good corrosion resistance in non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid, acetic acid, formic acid and phosphoric acid. It is effective in pore corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion. It is suitable for sulfuric acid at various concentrations up to 70 °C. It has good corrosion resistance at atmospheric pressure, at any concentration and temperature, and in a mixture of formic and acetic acids.
