Hongguan
SUS444 (00Cr18Mo2) is a ferritic stainless steel with ultra-low carbon and nitrogen content, 18% chromium and 2% molybdenum, and high corrosion resistance. 444 has a yield strength equivalent to 1.5 times that of carbon steel and 6 times that of fiberglass steel. It has outstanding advantages in earthquake, snow, wind pressure and impact resistance.
SUS444 ferritic stainless steel has high thermal conductivity, about 130%~150% of Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel, which is very suitable for heat exchange applications.
The coefficient of thermal expansion is small, and the small unit is only 60% to 70% of Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel, which is very suitable for thermal expansion, cold contraction, and thermal cycling conditions.
The steel has good plasticity and toughness, suitable for drawing, rolling forming and stamping manufacturing.
In particular, the application of corrosion resistance is most outstanding, and the corrosion resistance in high chloride media is better than that of ordinary ferritic stainless steel and Olympic stainless steel, which generally does not produce chloride stress corrosion cracking.
When Ti and Mo elements are added, the resistance to pore and crevice corrosion is improved.
The steel can be welded according to the welding method of ordinary stainless steel.
This steel is particularly suitable for food processing equipment, heat exchangers, water heater tanks, water storage tanks, solar collection panels, etc.
444 steel is a high alloy ferritic stainless steel, compared with the commonly used steel SUS430: 1.
Chromium content is about 1.0% higher, and the addition of the alloying element molybdenum (Mo), so the steel has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion, and its corrosion resistance in some aspects is even better than SUS304 and SUS316.
2. The addition of titanium (Ti), niobium (Nb), zirconium (Zr) and other stabilizing elements makes the steel have good resistance to intergranular corrosion and high temperature oxidation.
The old brand is 00CR18MO2 and the new brand is 019CR19MO2NB1&IUML.

This is the most cost effective steel grade. As a result, the price of 444 stainless steel sheet is generally lower compared to other grades of stainless steel and all metal products. The material is available in different versions with low and high carbon content. The low carbon version, 444 plate is excellent for welding applications as they have less carbide precipitation and less localized corrosion.
