Hongguan
Alloy 347 (UNS S34700) is a niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel coil with good general corrosion resistance, somewhat better than 321 (UNS S32100) under strong oxidizing conditions. It has good resistance to intergranular corrosion in the chromium carbide precipitation temperature range of 800 - 1500°F (427 - 816°C). The alloy has good oxidation resistance and creep strength up to 1500°F (816°C). It also has good low temperature toughness.
Alloy 347H (UNS S3409) stainless steel coil is a high carbon (0.04 - 0.10) version of this alloy. It was developed to enhance creep resistance and to achieve higher strength at temperatures above 1000°F (537°C). In most cases, the carbon content of the coil allows for dual certification.
Alloy 347 stainless steel coil cannot be hardened by heat treatment, only by cold working. It can easily be welded and machined by standard shop fabrication methods.
