Hongguan
330 stainless steel is an austenitic heat and corrosion resistant alloy that provides a combination of strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and thermal shock. This alloy is designed for applications in high temperature industrial environments where good resistance to the combined effects of carburization and thermal cycling is required, such as in the heat treating industry. Carburizing and oxidation resistance is enhanced by the alloy's silicon content at about 2100°F.
330 stainless steel remains fully austenitic at all temperatures and is not affected by the brittleness of sigma formation. It has a solid solution composition and cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
