Hongguan
Hongguan Steel is well known as a producer and manufacturer of SS 321 / 321H hexagonal bars, which are non-magnetic in nature. Stainless Steel 321 Hexagonal Bar is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range up to 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent water corrosion. While stainless steel 321H hexagonal bars continue to be used for long-term service in the 800°F to 1500°F (427°C to 816°C) temperature range, stainless steel 304L hexagonal bars have replaced this stable grade for applications involving only welding or short periods of heating. SS 321 hexagonal bars offer higher creep and stress fracture properties than SS 304 hexagonal bars, in particular, SS 304L hexagonal bars, which may also be of concern considering exposure to sensitization and intergranular corrosion. For optimum resistance to intergranular corrosion and to polysulfate stress corrosion cracking at working temperatures of 1500°F-1650°F, air cooling may be used for SS 321H hexagonal bars.
Alloy 321 hexagonal rods are widely used in aircraft components such as exhaust systems with operating temperatures above 800°F. Alloy 321H hexagonal rods have excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion and possess good creep strength. 321 stainless steel hexagonal rods have the key characteristic of increased titanium content, which stabilizes the material and gives it the key properties of resistance to carbide precipitation and oxidation at high temperatures.
