Hongguan
Alloy 316/316L is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel. The high nickel and molybdenum content of this grade makes it superior to 304 in overall corrosion resistance, especially pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, alloy 316/316L has excellent high temperature tensile, creep and tensile strength, as well as excellent formability and weldability. 316L is a low carbon version of 316 that is immune to sensitization, and as such, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded parts.
