Hongguan
SS 316L stainless steel sheet is a low carbon version of 316 grade sheet. These SS UNS S31603 plates have reduced grain boundary deposits and are widely used for large gauge welded parts (over approximately 6 mm). 316L stainless steel plates have excellent toughness and corrosion resistance. We typically use 316 and 316L plates in highly corrosive industries such as seawater treatment and oil pipelines.
Standard 316/316L stainless steel sheets and plating provides extreme corrosion and heat resistance along with the added benefit of increased strength over other metals. The molybdenum content within 316 stainless steel grade plating provides increased corrosion resistance over 304 stainless steel, which means that it can be used in more corrosive environments. 316 stainless steel sheets also provide outstanding welding characteristics, which means that it can be used for a wide range of applications.
In addition, 316/316L stainless steel sheet has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It can be brake or roll formed into numerous types of parts for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Additionally, stainless steel alloy 316 does not require post-weld annealing when welding thin sections.
