Hongguan
Grade 310 stainless steel round bar offers excellent high temperature properties with good ductility and weldability and is designed for high temperature service. It resists oxidation in continuous service at temperatures up to 1150 degrees Celsius, provided that reducing sulfur gases are not present. It can also be used in intermittent service at temperatures up to 1040 degrees Celsius.
310S (UNS S31008) is used in applications involving wet corrosives in a lower temperature range than what is normally considered "high temperature" service. The low carbon content of 310S does reduce its high temperature strength compared to 310.
Like other austenitic grades, these grades have good toughness, even down to low temperatures, although other grades are commonly used in this environment.
