Hongguan
Type 309 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel (0.08% maximum carbon). Type 309 is suitable for parts requiring corrosion resistance, heat resistance and oxidation resistance to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Strength at elevated temperatures is similar to that of 18-8 stainless steel. This alloy has excellent oxidation resistance and high tensile and creep strength at elevated temperatures. It is more resistant to marine atmospheres than Type 304. It is often considered a heat resistant alloy.
